Congratulations to Emily and Shawn! We had the most fantastic time planning this fabulous wedding.
Thank you to Nathan and Mell Bell with Richard Bell Photography for these amazing images.
The ceremony was held at the beautiful Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal which is the oldest AME church in the South. The reception was held in the Colonial Ballroom of The Francis Marion Hotel.
As always, Sara York Grimshaw with Dahlia Designs did a fabulous job with the floral arrangements. Low centerpieces were beautiful groupings of silver candlesticks and taper candles intermixed with silver mercury glass cylinders surrounded by glass urns filled with blown open white roses and hydrangeas.
The tall centerpieces were dramatic arrangement of branches with white dendrobium orchids in tall fluted vase surrounded by clear glass pillar candles holders.
The bride Emily loved the idea of using a mixture of metallics, golds and silvers, with touches of black. Inspiration for much of the design came from 2 ornate linens that we found and fell in love with immediately, gold Lace brocade, silver mercury.
Bridesmaids wore Melissa Sweet dresses in grey with black flowers with peep toe booties. The booties were an adorable trendy touch that reflected the bride's personal style.
The cake was a masterpiece in itself. A big thank you to Jean at Jean Paul’s Creative Cakes. She really out-did herself creating this work of art! She brought the Bride's vision to life perfectly!
Guest enjoyed the music of the band Hot Sauce early in the night and then DJ Vince had everyone dancing until the wee hours of the night.
The Bride and Groom sent their guests home with delicious jars of their favorite salsa!
